- 23 weeks, £120.00
During
this Ultrasound scan we will look very carefully at all
the major organs within your baby’s body taking
a series of specific measurements. This allows us to see
if there are any “anomalies” which will permit
us to refer to the appropriate medical practitioner like
your obstetrician, midwife or GP for further assessment.
We
are able to view the heart's 4 chambers and identify the
major vessels exiting the heart called the pulmonary vein
& aorta. The three parts of the spine called the cervical
spine, thoracic spine & lumbar spine as well as the
skin covering the spine will also be closely viewed. Arms,
hands, legs and toes will be identified. As well as assessing
the face and brain.
All
these checks will allow us to identify major abnormalities
within the baby’s' body.
Remember our sonographer is
also a registered qualified midwife, so any questions
you may have regarding your pregnancy, she will be happy
to help answer!
Report
We will put all this information
into a comprehensive report which is recognized by NHS
healthcare providers. The report is for you to keep or
show your healthcare provider.
