11
- 18 weeks £80.00

The
very best time to accurately date a pregnancy is between
11 weeks to 14 weeks. But sometimes you may find that
for whatever reason you may be further on in your pregnancy
then you imagine. We can confidently date your pregnancy
up until 18 weeks gestation.
We can do this by measuring the baby from head to bum.
The medical term for this is Crown Rump Length (CRL).
We will be able to assess if the baby's measurement is
in line with your Last menstrual Period (LMP). If we find
that you are a little further on in your pregnancy then
14 weeks gestation but under 18 weeks we can then date
your pregnancy by a special head measurement across your
baby's head which is from ear to ear called a Biparietal
diameter (BPD).
Also during this scan we will check the anatomy that can
be seen at this stage & share this information with
you during the scan. We will check the heart is beating
& listen to the sound of this, this may be the first
time you have heard this.
If we find that your baby measures more than 6 days difference
to what your LMP (Last Menstrual Period), is showing us
then we would advise you to change your EDD (Estimated
Date of Delivery), dating you by Ultrasound Scan (USS),
this is a standard national policy upheld in all NHS &
private Ultrasound clinics.
Remember
our sonographer is also a registered qualified midwife,
so any questions you may have regarding your pregnancy,
she will be happy to help answer!

You will receive a full report documenting
the Estimate Due date of your baby by using a comprehensive
